The Lion King Opening and Other Fantastic Noises

*clears throat*

NYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH SAGAMENYA SIGOBEE SEEWOWAHHH

For more phonetic lyrics to your favourite theme tunes don't hesitate to listen to the song and then figure it out. :P Another fun fonetic fest is to be had with this ear twister !

It seems a slick enough transition to now divulge a certain Jum Certified Cheerer-upper, googling the lyrics of a certain Daft Punk Song...#meerkat pleasures. :D I have love for whoever transcribed these lyrics, I like to imagine it's this really obsessed guy who has Homework on tape and rewinded this track back no less than one thousand times to corroborate the lyrics...and their frequency. *wistful gaze* It's that it's not even that funny that makes it HILARIOUS. Kind of like if you big-up a movie with all the musterable enthusiasm this fruitful, progressively open cultured globe has to offer and it turns out to be Star Wars Episode II: attack of the clones. But funny. *shakes head slowly* (To my knowledge there are multiple threads on 'Coping with Episode II', my personal technique lies in reveling in the beautiful New Zealand accent haboured by Jango and lil' Boba and imitating it there on in until the none too soon circle transition is followed by the end credits)

-----We intterupt this blogcast to bring you news of what's going outside Jum's window right now....To the keen eyed: nothing. To the abled eared however... THE SOUND OF A SCALEXTRICS AMATEURISHLY REMIXED WITH THE YELP OF A SMALL INJURED DOG, that's right folks it's THE FOXES. XD seriously, they make some acutely anomalous noises but I guess your tummy wouldn't sound too much like a library either after consuming the contents of folks' gabáge bágs. xD ----

Okay Jum, I know it was a long time ago but...umm...the Lion King Opening? Ah yes! Thank you delayed yet timely Whisperer of Reason ;)   A long time ago, in a theatre far far away, The Jum was fortunate enough to have watched The Lion King! This was made possible by the same person who bequeathed unto The Jum a set of 'Sudha Pastels' making that picture up *parts text above and points* there, possible. That Bequeather of Possibility is Nishant Sellbanana, or as some know him as Durrty (not quite for his personal hygiene traits but that of his pronunciation ;)

In the afternoon of the 'SURPRISE I GOT YOU LION KING TICKET' flavoured-surprise day I happened to be lackadaisically illustrating A LION of all animals on the computer maneframe waiting for Raf and Fuz so we could go and sip on some BUBBLE TEA (add the inventor of that with daft punk lyricist to my love list please Chives!). Meanwhile, in strolls Nishant with a telling expression. That expression telling NOTHING of course because this was really a well-executed surprise! I had no idea! Like how that charcoal stain on the carpet came about... Ahem, so with another tea bubbler aboard we sail into the café and no sooner had we drank our tapioca croutons did we begin heading back to our respective nests. Before this bird could take off however she was conspicuously handed a semi transparent plastic bag containing the Lion King Program Guide accompanied by the augury: 'If you go now we're going to be late for this'

'WHAT THE SH*T?!', thought Jum before squealing like a Scalextrics amateurishly remixed with the yelp of a small joyus dog. :D Equipped with my rainy day Face Paint Kit we wore our pride on our FACES in the form of whiskers and black noses, looking almost uncannily like lions (though I'm not sure it'd ride in the savannah). Though what mortals could compete with their get-ups? THE COSTUMES SO INTRICATE AND SOMETIMES ABSURD (being The Grass in this play is NOT the same as being the Tree in your primary school performance of Little Red Riding Hood...I WANT TO BE GRASS!!!!) THE SONGS....well, the woman who WAS Rafiki must have been a con-artist before a voice-artist because she stole ma breath and never returned it!

Overall it was an undoubtedly independent sensation from the innumerable childhood viewings of Mufasa & Co, it wasn't a imitation but a re-telling! And in this one ,although the characters weren't as developed, you could indubitably appreciate the poetry of the original story. I kinda always wanted to make a puppet show being an aficionado of Sooty and Playdays and Sesame Street...there's something magical about their credibility no matter how crazy their world/stage may be! Now after the spectacle of The Lion King, well I may have to pull some strings for puppeteer training!

Love how this, against all oddities, turned into a full-fledged review. XD I guess all I wanted to say was THANKS YOUS with the drawing (not quite sure maself what it is other than LK Inspired and 'tribalisms') and that it's A-okay if your awesome friend hasn't taken you to see it yet, just google some daft punk lyrics, drink some bubble tea and get drawing lions! ;)

The Jum as a bloggarian has been quite the dormant volcano for several hundred hours now, but without further intErruption... she returns from vacation! No need for evacuation! Unless your house is on fire, then you might want to leave. What are the chances eh I mean... why are you still reading this!? SHOO! Oh, it was just overcooked toast? Well done. (i'm referring to the toast ofc) So that has been gwarnin' in the life of this volcano? Many and more things. Well that was a great catch up, dontcha thunk?... okay okay here have a look at this Behance, which rhymes with france like the country and not Franz like Ferdinand...which Jum totally knew all along. Oi loike ta pranance thungz diffruntz iz soh fahoony >.<  (And if you wondering, yes, yes the fairies did enjoy Jum;s company as they were away ;o)

Looking at this Behance I see with my realeyes that Jum's personal aesthetic has become more cohesive, perhaps recognisable, and most importantamountly: funsome :D Not sayin' sleep deprivation teamed with irregular nomming habits were the mooost exhilarating experiences of this term, but it was all for the greater great! I've, what the coolster kids term, 'collabed' (which means worked nicely together with someone else's brain) with such cerebral wonders and wondered cerebrally at others' outcomes. <3 One piece of feedback I was fed was that writing should play a bigger part in my work- hence why the jummingbird's flown back here to the cuckoo's nest :P I did miss rambling into the dark matter of the interweb!

There's a lot of doubt gas being sprayed onto CSM students' hip garbs causing peeps to enquire 'are we actually learning anything?', 'why don't we get access to all the rooms', 'why does the library machine have to compromise people who have fines unpaid so *BINGING* mercilessly?' (....okay the last one may just be me)...Firstly, the room thing is of the Ridonk genus in that it's ridonkulous. Howeverly, if you make friends or bang hard enough on the doors/ look desperate enough and you WILL be granted entry, tried and tested ;)  On learning....well the bestest resource we have is each other. I know that sounds dreamy, but dreams are the stuff life's made out of (see back of Life for ingredients)! That's how we will learn after our years of academia terminate, from each other. CSM is a Portfolio school, not a Process school, though a mix would be Simply Rad (PROFOLIO FTW) I shall, weather willing, write more on this topical storm in a later post!

Next up will be a review of a roarsome's nights entermertainment! And worry nut, that's coming sooner lava than later ;)

Birthday Carole

Little early for xmas cards, that is if you're not selling them... then you can pretty much put up santa point of sale stands after easter... and halloween pumpkins after boxing day. ;) Preparation was never so prompt. But does it count if one is early for say a job interview at CalendarsR'us on the wrong day? Oh the relentless curiousity pez dispenser of life.

The Jum can't wait for the festive season to get into the swing of things, because it means the loved ones drrrrraaaving home for christmas, frost-class movie entermertainment on the telly belly and mans being a little more selfless in every respect apart from roast potato ownership. But that's all gravy. And just as that last thing isn't strictly speaking just for Christmas, nor is singing praises, or Caroles. Hence why The Jum produced a card for her aunty Carole, who she praises as THE most graceful person on the planet. Having some difficulties with her sight I decided to make the card and it's blanket a bit more tactile using bumpy paper and some dreamy cream off-cuts a friendly fashion student funded me! Failing to find her button stash Jum pushed on at fastening pace and a lack of pritt stick turned her to the needle...the sewing one guys the sewing one. Have a peep peep peeps, gwaaaan:

You think fruit flies have it bad? Envelopes live even shorter lives, but Jum for one decided to do something to stamp out envelopocide! Tis made out of fabric, and stitches of an earnest amateur!

Here is the card inside, check out the crazy realistic eye shadow peeping too!

Workshopaholics Anonymous

Dear Agony Aunt Jum

I think I'm addicted to digital workshops. I go to sleep, I dream about dreamweaver. I go to Jessops, I think about Photoshop. I go to the hairdressers, I converse about Final Cut Pro. Please help me, I'm so desperate right now I'dobe any instruction!

Regards,

Mr.A.Reel-Pearson

Dear Mr Pearson

Do not pick up the phone and call your doctor immediately, you are severely fine. What you are experiencing is quite natural during this time of the year when art students are told they have xmas break after months of hunchback hardback sketchbook sketching and tucking deadlines into their deathbeds at the last moment. With no spark to ignite a fire of complaint, and medicine students having the sharp edge against your unacademic dicispleen, you turn to The Workshop. You need something to scratch that etch and workshops are the ultimate claw. This is perfectly healthy as part of a balanced diet and sustained touch with reality (seen behind the screen for details). But holy adobe don't choose to do a Flash tutorial, because rumour has it ipods/pads/pids and indeed puds will no longer support the application... Flash is essentially getting FLUSHED.
Carry on with your workshopping Mr Pearson, but remember to take a break and feed your mouse! (perhaps with that cheesy sentence)

If unsatisfied with the above response, consult the best thing on the web.... your friendly neighbourhood

Barely want to return this to the bibliotecary!

Before I forget to remember remember

One of our first and foremost projects was to make a presentation on what makes our birthday partyticular birth months special, well here's what a lot of discussing, a little nugget of time and some bright sparks/embers who were members of Novemberz came up with:

We came 2nd place out of 12 ace racers, but seeing as its our birthdays now, we win. XD Talking of such ceremonious hours, here's some card to forget numbers sent to The Jum on her bourneville biscuit day! <3 :

And here are some PostJum Pat sent:

I like to make cards that are specifically for one person in mind because we share our birthdays with at least 2 other people in the world ,by my knowing, and unlike the day, your fudgelicious cake or your fun-size sweeties, a card can be something that's just for you! There are two more pending! Ah, birthdays, who says they're only once a year? :P

Strictly Jum Dancing

...on a swivel chair. I love art school.

The Jum has slept about 6 hours in the past 2 days. In this past week in fact, sleep has been the stuff of dreams! This is Captain underpants Captain Nappy signing off! ;)
